Creating Safe and Supportive Environments for Children and Families
At SEMA, we believe that every child and every vulnerable individual has the right to live in safety, dignity, and emotional well-being. Through our Protection Program, we provide integrated services that help prevent violence, neglect, abuse, and exploitation while supporting people affected by crisis, displacement, and difficult living conditions. Our specialized teams work closely with children, caregivers, and communities to identify protection risks, provide timely support, and create safe environments where individuals can recover, build resilience, and regain a sense of security.
Integrated Support That Protects, Heals, and Strengthens Communities
SEMA implements a range of protection and psychosocial support projects designed to respond to the needs of children, families, and vulnerable individuals affected by emergencies and displacement. Through specialized teams, safe spaces, structured activities, and family-centered services, we help reduce protection risks and strengthen individual and community resilience.
We provide specialized support for children who are exposed to violence, neglect, abuse, exploitation, or other protection risks. Our teams identify individual needs and connect children and their caregivers with appropriate services and follow-up support.
SEMA provides individual and group psychosocial support sessions that help children and adults cope with stress, trauma, loss, and the emotional consequences of crisis and displacement.
Our child-friendly spaces offer safe and inclusive environments where children can learn, play, express themselves, and participate in structured recreational and psychosocial activities.
We support parents and caregivers through awareness sessions, guidance, and psychosocial activities that strengthen positive caregiving practices and improve the family’s ability to protect and support children.
SEMA conducts community awareness activities on child protection, violence prevention, available services, and safe referral pathways, helping communities recognize risks and respond to protection concerns more effectively.
